Diamond Foundry

Diamond Foundry is the fastest growing business in luxury, having doubled sales each quarter last year, tripled sales in the last quarter, and now quadrupling production. The company was founded in 2013 in San Francisco by a group of engineers from Stanford, Princeton and M.I.T. who previously had built a $640 million solar cell technology operation. Fueled by an innovative and proprietary plasma reactor technology, the company grows high-­‐quality diamonds “above ground” in its foundry by recreating the environment in which nature forms diamonds on its own. The result is a process that converts small quantities of methane into a material that is 500 times as valuable as gold.
